Hi Shad,
I have been on Dialysis for 25 yrs and had 2 failed transplants. I am a 43 yr old multi-instrumentalist and songwriter in NYC. Although touring with a band is almost out of the question due to my dialysis schedule, I will have aspirations of still working and recording and producing in the music industry. I still manage to play gigs when I can get the opportunity.
Thank you for being an inspiration and showing the world that anything is possible if you have the will. |

Hi Shad,
Well, you inspired me! After I received the Team shirt you sent me I was motivated to Try a Triathlon so I entered a Tri-a-Tri and raced on Sept 1.
I trained vigorously for two weeks and Swam 375m, Biked 10Klm, and Ran 2.5Klm in 54:18. I finished 166 of 348. My old mountain bike was pretty slow and my transition time (swim to bike) was 3 minutes but once I got rolling I really enjoyed the entire experience. Check out the pictures.
